  • Rick Henry

    Rick Henry was born in Jamaica where he was raised by his grandmother. They later joined Rick’s mother and sister in Toronto, Canada. Soon after arriving in Canada, Rick and his grandmother gravitated toward the excitement of pro wrestling. Ultimately, Rick joined the wrestling team in the 9th grade because of the entertainment value while watching with his grandmother. Rick went on to wrestle through high school and then went on to wrestle at York University and the University of Guelph.

    Rick became an All-Canadian several times while at the University of Guelph and also represented Canada at the 1999 Pan American Games in Greco-Roman wrestling in the 85kg weight class.

    Rick currently lives in Dallas, Texas, and is the owner operator a community patrol service located in the downtown area. He also spends as much time as possible in Jamaica with his wife Vivienne, along with family and friends. Rick and fellow coaches in Jamaica hosts dryland wrestling, boxing and football camps as well as on the beach.

    Rick founded Future Champs of Texas in 2013. The nonprofit wrestling gym is dedicated to utilizing sport to keep at-risk youth off the street.

  • Robert Mbelwa

    Robert Mbelwa was born and raised in Dallas Texas by his two parents. His two sisters preceded him and both played trumpet in the band but Robert wanted to be different and played saxophone.

    During his early years, Robert was fascinated with WWE and Raw wrestling productions and games, leading him to join Future Champs Wrestling Club in 2016 as it was just opening where he learned and found a love of wrestling. Robert then proceeded to stop wrestling while focusing on school but the fire within never died down.

    Years later Robert once again joined Future Champs but as a coach where he helps motivate youth and help them grow to a greater potential.

  • Torian "Tory" Johnson

    Tory Johnson is a Dallas native and resident. Passionate about his love for Christ and people, he spends his time getting to know teens in the South Oak Cliff Area, going where teens are and earning the right to be heard. He serves through a youth outreach ministry called Young Life, which he was part of himself as a teen.

    A former high school wrestler and combat sport enthusiast himself, he serves on the mat as a caring mentor willing to help kids learn and grow.
